How do You Turn Up the Heat on Your Water Heater?
There are a few different ways that you will want to turn up the heat on your water heater. Some water heaters are different than other water heaters. There are usually two different ways to adjust the heat on your water heater. On many water heaters there is a dial that you can simply turn to the left in order to turn up the heat on your water heater. This is going to be very easy to find as it is located right on the outside of the water heater.
This knob will be a very simple way to change the heat of your water. However, there are more complicated water heaters that will make you remove a metal panel before you are able to reach any of these knobs. Most water heaters come with a little booklet that you can refer to that will allow you to find out where this panel is. Once you have found this metal panel, you will most likely have to remove it with a screwdriver. Once you have done this you will be able to adjust the heat of your water.
What is a Safe Temperature Range for Your Hot Water?
Making sure that your water is hot enough is something that is important when you are cooking, cleaning clothes, or showering. You need to make sure that your water is going to be hot enough to really get the job done. However, you also need to make sure that your water isn't so hot that it is going to burn someone.
You need to make sure that your water temperature is in a safe range. From 120 degrees Fahrenheit, it is a safe bet to assure that your water is going to be hot enough right to start with that you will not have any problems cooking, cleaning, or showering. However, you do not want to have your water hotter than 140 degrees, as this will cause scalding.
